Indian "Coral Glass" Trade Beads
- Fine vintage ca.1960-70 recycled hand moulded glass from India.
- Hand-wound "Coral Glass" Heirloom Beads were originally hand wound glass trade beads created in the mid 20th century in India, and made to resemble precious red coral. Lovingly handcrafted to the most beautiful details including the craters and fissures seen in natural coral. These richly colored beads were later traded in Tibet and Nepal. Because of their rarity and desirability, these "foreign" glass beads became treasured heirlooms in rural communities.
